An energy audit activity can assist private or public institutions improve their energy performances by helping them to become more aware of their energy efficiency and consumption level. Energy audit is an inspection survey and an analysis of energy flows for energy efficiency and conservation in a building. It will include a process or system change in behavior to reduce the amount of energy input into the system without affecting the output. To establish a process of continuous improvement in energy efficiency and conservation, institutions need to implement an energy management system in place or carryout an assessment of their energy usage at a certain point of time. The Department of Energy will be the focal point to offer guidance and highlighting key areas where you could save on excessive energy consumption.
