On 8th April 2025, the retail price of diesel fuel (mazut) is at 165 VT/L and the wholesale price is at 152 VT/L. The retail and wholesale prices of petrol (benzin) remains stable at 180 VT/L and 167 VT/L respectively

The Department of Energy under the Ministry for Climate Change is formally advertising for the Request for Tender (RFT) for the Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Solar PV MicroGrid at Wintua and Lorlow Communities, South West Bay, Malekula Island. 

This is part of the National Energy Road Map (NERM, 2016-2030) highlighting access to energy as one of Vanuatu´s five Development Priorities. The extension of existing grids and electricity access for remote households are the main targets under the NERM priority accessible energy

  1. Project Background

The Barrier Removal for the Achieving the National Energy Road Map Targets of Vanuatu (BRANTV) is a project which was developed under the Department of Energy (DoE) through the United Nations Development Program and funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). It was designed to address some of the key barriers which are hindering the Government from not achieving the targets outlined in the Updated National Energy Road Map (Updated NERM).
